Analytics Manager/Senior Manager - San Diego, New York, Jersey City
The Analytics manager will to design, develop, and deploy state-of-the-art, data-driven predictive
models to solve business problems using the latest and most appropriate technologies in machine
learning, statistical modeling and Operations Research. Deliver value in the market place
through: consulting engagements; new product development; and/or through research initiatives.
Main responsibilities include: training and development of junior analytics staff, developing
analytic solutions, analysis of industrial-size data sets to determine suitability for model building;
data clean-up and filtering; pattern identification and feature extraction; variable selection;
experimentation with algorithms; performance analysis and preparation for communication with
internal and external clients.
Work will require effective coordination of off-shore analytic resources, software
development, clients, and business consultants. Some travel required to client locations.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MS/ Ph.D.) in a quantitative field (i.e., Statistics, Engineering, Machine Learning, Physics, Econometrics, etc.).
- Software skills: Experience in Perl, C, Python, C++, or Java.
- Deep knowledge of analytic methodologies (regression, signal processing, optimization, neural networks, etc.)
- Track record of analytical product development, innovation, or research (patents or publications)
- Industry Experience (eCommerce, Financial Services, Retail, Airlines, Defense, etc.)
Preferred
- Experience managing offshore analytics teams
- Strong UNIX background
- Experience with statistics package, SAS

Junior Analytics Manager - San Diego, New York, Jersey City
The Junior Analytics Manager will help to design, develop and deploy state-of-the-art, data-driven
predictive models to solve business problems using the latest and most appropriate technologies in
machine learning, statistical modeling and Operations Research. They will have broad exposure to
multiple client problems and deliver value in the market place through consulting engagements, new
product development and/or through research initiatives.
Junior Analytics Managers are responsible for the quality of analytical projects or a single class of
models within a market effort. They experiment with alternative approaches and guide junior staff in
their execution. Junior Analytics Managers understand the technology and can explain to all internal
audiences, and they also assist in the preparation of material for external audiences. In terms of project
management, they estimate work effort, assign tasks, and communicate milestones and results. Junior
Analytics Managers typically work under the guidance of a senior analytical leader who oversees several
projects.

Requirements

Associate
Requirements
- Bachelor's (US or foreign equivalent education, MIS, Business Admin. Or related) with 2yrs related exp. (or 4yrs experience)
Responsibilities
- Create business variables, collect client data for data cleaning and analyze operational requirements to identify cost savings, such as spend categorized along key spend dimensions, rates benchmarking, savings assessment and gap analysis, metrics of implementation, key diagnostic metrics;
- Interview procurement managers in client organization to understand commodity responsibilities, past/current sourcing initiatives, demand generation and specification characteristics;
- Review vender contracts and verify vendor compliance on rates and Service Level Agreements;
- Synthesize opportunities and prioritize initiatives based on savings;
- Create questionnaires to extract relevant information and project progress reports;
- Translate business details into feasible objectives;
- Gather and formalize all meeting minutes and action items;
- Develop project related presentations for Senior Opera Management and oversee the work of business analyst.
