Education & Experience

Sonia earned an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She also earned a bachelor's degree from the Moscow State University, majoring in the Classics (ancient Greek and Latin studies).

Before joining Opera, Sonia worked for the Boston Consulting Group in its Moscow and Berlin offices where she designed strategies for leading Russian and multinational consumer goods companies. She also worked at Renaissance Capital Consumer Finance in Moscow.

In her spare time Sonia likes to travel. She enjoys hosting dinner parties for her friends and is an avid linguist. She also enjoys hiking, wine tastings, and modern dance performances.
