Education & Experience

Yi earned a bachelor's degree in East Asian studies and premedical studies from Columbia University.

Prior to joining Opera, Yi gained experience conducting cancer research at the National Institutes of Health and working as an emergency medical technician. She also worked for the Center for Global Partnership for the Japan Foundation.

In her spare time, Yi is up for anything active. Swing dancing, kickboxing, and playing soccer are a few of her favorite activities. As an Asian food fanatic, she can be spotted in various neighborhoods savoring authentic and diverse cuisines. She also likes to escape Manhattan with her large backpack and a good book. She is always eager for an adventure.
